Paro and Thimphu Tour Itinerary
Day 1
Morning
• Arrive at Paro International Airport
o Meet your guide/driver (if pre-arranged)
o Drive to Thimphu (approx. 1.5 hours, 50 km)
Afternoon
• Check-in to hotel in Thimphu
• Visit:
o Tashichho Dzong – seat of the Bhutanese government
o Buddha Dordenma – giant Buddha statue with panoramic views
Evening
• Stroll around Thimphu town (Clock Tower Square, local cafés)
• Dinner at a local Bhutanese restaurant
(Try: Ema Datshi, Red Rice, Suja – butter tea)

Day 2
• Folk Heritage Museum
• National Textile Museum
• Changangkha Lhakhang – oldest temple in Thimphu

Morning

o National Museum of Bhutan (Ta Dzong)
o Kyichu Lhakhang – one of the oldest temples in Bhutan

• Leisure walk around Paro town

Day 4
Full Day
• Hike to Tiger’s Nest Monastery
o Approx. 3-4 hour round trip
o Option for horse ride halfway (if needed)
o Pack water/snacks, wear good hiking shoes
Late Afternoon
• Return to hotel, relax or opt for a massage/ hot stone bath
• Farewell dinner with Bhutanese cuisine
